Ethics and honesty exist at varying degrees in politics. One of the slimiest and mushiest of questionable degrees of honesty is the obfuscation of truth through hyperbole. It is rampant and therefore must be examined and analyzed as truth is sought.
If the truth sets free, lies do the opposite. Lies enslave. Exposing lies is necessary in order to arrive at truth.
